The Sidama Region as much as other regions in Ethiopia is affected tremendously by Gender-Based Violence and needs a collaborated effort to curb the systemic problem our women and young girls face each and every day.

For this reason, Talita Rise Up has joined this effort of safeguarding our women and girls through the Gender-Based Violence Program by opening a safe house for sheltering women and girls who have become a victim and need urgent care mentally and physically. Talita Safe House keeps women and young girls free from harm, addresses their basic concerns, elevates and empowers them, and prepare them to fight for their rights.
