Establishment
About Us
Talita Rise Up is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization. Talita Rise Up was established to deliver organized support so that the living burdens of destitute girls, orphaned children, and aged people would be alleviated to a certain extent.
Talita Rise Up aims to contribute its share by delivering its support to at least a limited number of girls, orphaned children, and the aged. Its initial objective aims to cover three regional areas in Ethiopia, namely, Sidama, Oromia, and Addis Ababa.
Vision
We envision a community where women are respected, orphans are cared for and families prosper.
Mission
To serve orphans, women, and families in the poorest of communities in Ethiopia.
Goal
We aim to address the most affected destitute girls, orphaned children and the aged in identified areas of the three regions through humanitarian support.
Child Care
Institutional Child Care
After prioritization and selection process is completed orphan and vulnerable children in immediate danger and severe cases will be admitted to a child care center. Children include in this activates or program is those who are in the age range of 0-10 years old.
Foster Care
Foster-to-Adopt Program
We use this mechanism set by the government in collaboration with the Sidama Regional Women’s, children and Social Affairs Bureau together with our partner in this program Bethany Christian Services Organization.
Girl Program
Girls Program
These beneficiaries will be supplied with a support for formal education support for basic needs, training in life skills and also put in income generating activates (IGA) so that they can be self-sufficient and productive citizens in their future life.

Safe home
Talita Safe Home
The Sidama Region as much as other regions in Ethiopia is affected tremendously by Gender-Based Violence and needs a collaborated effort to curb the systemic problem our women and young girls face each and every day.
Saturday feeding
Saturday Feeding Program
In this program we have lunch meals weekly on Saturdays with around 135 – 150 kids, of which most of them are not sponsored and are from very poor families.
Empowerment
Women Empowerment
This program is aimed at addressing the needs of needy families who have a strong desire to work but lack the technical and financial ability to do so.
Education
Education program
Through the education support program, we support children who are showing good results but are not in a productive learning environment.

About the Founder
After helping girls for years, family and friends started to suggest getting a license from the government to do it legally with better resources. It was then that she started the process of getting a license and once she got it, went to Yirgalem in southern Ethiopia to start operations.
